| dc.description | The idea of a cultural center in the area "La Carolina" was born from the analysis of the reshaping of the city of Quito, which by its growth is segmented into three main parts. Consolidated new activity centers, where people are concentrated and potentiate each area. In this specific sector pedestrian space is insufficient for the flow of people travel daily. Furthermore the width of Naciones Unidas Avenue and the number of lanes that this has, make it feel like an urban barrier. In the other hand, the Quicentro Shopping building is closed to the city, limiting pedestrian space. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | La idea de proponer un centro cultural en el sector “La Carolina” nació del análisis de la nueva conformación de la ciudad de Quito, la cual por su crecimiento se encuentra segmentada en tres partes principales. Consolidado nuevos centros de actividades, donde se concentra la población potencializando cada zona. En este sector específico el espacio peatonal es insuficiente para el flujo de personas que circulan diariamente. Además el ancho de la avenida Naciones Unidas y la cantidad de carriles que en esta hay, hacen que se la sienta como una barrera urbana. Por otro lado, el edificio del Quicentro Shopping se cierra a la ciudad, limitando más el espacio peatonal. | es_ES |
