Considering the current population growth, the demand for both dairy and vegetable products require continuous innovation and improvement. The production and quality of milk is directly affected by the content of the feed given to the cattle, so it is necessary to have an adequate diet to keep the cows healthy and produce quality milk. On the other hand, carrot cultivation in Ecuador occupies an area of more than 4,000 hectares, and due to different processes and post harvest losses, this industry generates thousands of tons of organic waste per year.
