| dc.description | Wax Flower, common name for species of the genus Chamelaucium, is a cultivar native from Australia that is starting to commercialize at international level and promises to be a very important and lucrative cultivar. For these reasons it is very important to improve the potential of commercialization of this group through the breeding of new interesting cultivars for the market. Since 1995 Breeding programs are being carried out with the Wax Flower group, especially with the hybrid Chamelaucium megalopetalum x Chamelaucium uncinatum, because successful breeding has not yet been obtained with this cultivar. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | El Wax flower, nombre común con el que se conoce a las especies del género Chamelaucium, es un cultivo originario de Australia que se está comenzando a comercializar a nivel internacional, prometiendo ser un cultivo lucrativo muy importante. Por estos motivos, es muy importante mejorar el potencial de comercialización de este grupo mediante la creación de nuevas variedades, interesantes para el mercado. Desde 1995 se está trabajando en el mejoramiento del Wax Flower. Los esfuerzos se han enfocado principalmente en el híbrido Chamelaucium megalopetalum x Chamelaucium uncinatum ya que es un cultivo con el que no se han tenido resultados en cuanto a fitomejoramiento. | es_ES |
