| dc.description | Supported by the evolutionary theory of the species adaptation to fit into the environment in which they live, the “Institute for Marine Research” located in San Cristobal Island, in the Galapagos Archipelago, is created with architectural characteristics based in the place where it settles, adapting to it. Any type of intervention, in the delicate and natural environment of the Galapagos Islands, must consider the protection and respect of the marine and terrestrial ecosystems to provoke the minimal impact on them. Las Islas Galápagos son un frágil entorno natural que debe ser respetado y protegido en el momento de una intervención, para causar el mínimo impacto ambiental en los ecosistemas marino y terrestre.
