| dc.description | Knowing the feeding behavior of Vulnerable species such as the black mantled tamarin, Leontocebus nigricollis graellsi, is key for designing effective conservation actions. Between May and August 2019, we studied the feeding behavior of three wild groups of this species in the Sacha Lodge private reserve. We used the focal sampling method to record the duration of feeding events, the types of food consumed and the time used to consume each type of food. We compared the normalized proportion of focal feeding time between groups and age classes with a two-way ANOVA. We compared the number of times a specified item was consumed with a chi-square test.
