dc.descriptionThroughout history, cerebral palsy has been a difficult disorder to study and define due to the ambiguity of each case. At present, it has been possible to categorize it based on the different physical, cerebral and functional affectations seen on patients living with this disorder. The focus of attention of this study is spastic cerebral palsy. It has been found that these patients are unable to perform the activities of their daily lives as a result of injuries in different brain areas, especially the motor areas, which brings consequences at the motor functioning and cognitive skills of the child reducing their daily functionality. In addition, many studies experienced that for several years the treatment of these cases has focused assertively on the motor rehabilitation but has neglected in some way the therapeutic process that benefits the cognitive functions...es_ES
dc.description.abstractA lo largo de la historia, la parálisis cerebral ha sido un trastorno que ha presentado dificultades para su estudio y definición debido a la ambigüedad de cada caso. En la actualidad se ha logrado categorizarlo en base a las diferentes afectaciones físicas, cerebrales y funcionales que presentan los pacientes con dicho trastorno. En el caso de la parálisis cerebral espástica, la cual es el foco de atención en este estudio, se ha encontrado que los pacientes se ven incapacitados de realizar las actividades de su vida cotidiana como resultado de las lesiones en distintas áreas cerebrales, especialmente en la corteza motora, lo cual trae consigo consecuencias en el área motora y cognitiva del individuo, las cuales reducen su funcionalidad diaria...es_ES
