dc.descriptionThe multipurpose railway station seeks to rehabilitate a strategic lagging space, located in the south of Quito (Sector el Recreo), behind the Trole station, next to the old railroad tracks. Due to the morphology of the city, and the increase of the population, people, demands for better transport stations, and better trade centers. This phenomenon has reduced the relationship between the user and the city at different scales, especially in population displacement and agglomeration. The mobility of people at urban levels depends more and more on transport systems and their appropriate interconnection. dc.description.abstractLa estación de ferrocarril multipropósito, busca rehabilitar un espacio estratégico rezagado, del sur de Quito, en el sector del recreo, detrás de la estación del trole, junto a las antiguas vías del ferrocarril. Debido a la historia morfológica y el contexto gubernamental que ha vivido el país, Quito, sufre de una invasión debido a, los asentamientos informales, el crecimiento poblacional y la demanda por servicios de transporte; esto a ocasionado diversos tipos de divisiones en el tejido urbano de la ciudad.
