Descripción :	Ecuador and the whole world have experienced a critical economic crisis, but advantageously the Ecuadorian government has implemented some economic policies that are stabilizing slowly the country and specially the construction sector. The following indicators assure that the economic behavior of the country shows optimist: • The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) has increased from 2008 to 2009 up to 3,15%. The average income of each person have also increased from 2007 to 2008 in 3,75%, which allows people to increase their savings and invest in the housing sector. • The inflation rate has maintained the decreasing tendency of last years. In 2008 the inflation rate registered was 8.83% and in 2009 this percentage deceased to 7.44%. This phenomenon allows maintaining the construction material prices stabled. It is important to mention that in the last year the steel price decreased considerably (80%) and we all know that this is one of the most expensive and most important materials for construction.
