dc.descriptionBioArt situates itself into the fringes of different knowledges. This capacity is easily misread, turning it into an umbrella term. This thesis studies its possible specificities from a critical and speculative point of view. By addressing three works of art that are usually included as samples of BioArt, the aim is to mark some of the affirmative stances from where it could be studied. The speculative possibilities that stem from biology, the abject, and ethics cover such samples without disregarding its shortcomings. The inclusiveness of different epistemologies, as those mentioned, intend to open the chance for a speculative critique to operate.es_ES
dc.description.abstractEl BioArte se sitúa a sí mismo dentro de los perímetros de diferentes conocimientos. Esta capacidad se malinterpreta fácilmente, convirtiéndolo en un término umbral. Esta tesis estudia sus posibles especificidades desde un punto de vista crítico y especulativo. Examinando tres obras de arte que están usualmente incluidas como muestras de BioArte, el objetivo es marcar algunas de las posturas afirmativas desde donde puede ser estudiado. Las posibilidades especulativas que se originan desde la biología, lo abyecto, y la ética cubren dichas muestras sin descartar sus deficiencias. La inclusión de diferentes epistemologías, como las mencionadas, intentan abrir la oportunidad para que una crítica especulativa opere.es_ES
