| dc.description | The architecture proposal seeks for a solution to the mobility and connectivity problem that the sector suffer. The building is an urban connector and a bus station that simultaneously allows the passenger to transfer destination. This equipment not only improves the mobility of the sector, at the same time it offers cultural and community activities. The building has a hybrid program, where the culture, the education and transportation merge. It combines educational activities with a school of arts that is related to the intense cultural activity of the neighborhood of San Marcos. The public library and the exhibition gallery are the answer to the demand of the user’s activities in the neighborhood. This type of programmatically combination allows permanence of the infrastructure in the city. The project re-composes the urban morphology and reconsider some of the blocks that were modified for the construction of the Pichincha Avenue. It establishes a road solution that restructures the traffic separating the particular traffic of the collective transport. In addition, as a proposal the project develops 3 buildings that re-structure the morphology of the original block and square roads that La Marin possess. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | La propuesta arquitectónica busca solucionar el problema de movilidad y conectividad que sufre el sector a través de un edificio que funge como conector urbano a la vez que presta el servicio de transferencia de pasajeros. Este equipamiento no solo mejora la movilidad del sector, al mismo tiempo brinda actividades culturales y comunitarias. El edificio posee un programa híbrido, en donde la cultura, la educación y el transporte se juntan. Combina actividades educacionales a través de una escuela de artes y oficios que se relaciona con la intensa actividad cultural del Barrio San Marcos. La biblioteca pública y la galería de exposición propuesta responden a la demanda de los mismos en el sector. Éste tipo de combinación programática permite mantener un uso continuo y seguro de la infraestructura. El proyecto recompone la morfología urbana reconsiderando algunas de las manzanas que fueron modificadas para la construcción de la Avenida Pichincha y el relleno de la quebrada Manosalvas. Además, se plantea el desarrollo de 3 edificios que estructuran nuevamente la morfología de manzana y damero que posee el sector. | es_ES |
