dc.descriptionIn Latin America, various investigations have shown that non-typhoid Salmonella (NTS) is associated with a large number of infections from food, mainly products derived from poultry. NTS prevalence on these products is high; in Ecuador, NTS prevalence can reaches 55.5% and the commonly isolated serotype is S. Infantis. An increase in the prevalence of multidrug resistant NTS has also been identified, with S. Infantis, Enteritidis and Typhimurium being the serotypes with the highest resistance reported...es_ES
dc.description.abstractEn Latinoamérica, diversas investigaciones han mostrado que Salmonella no tifoidea (NTS) está relacionada con un gran número de infecciones provenientes de alimentos, especialmente de productos cárnicos provenientes de aves de corral. Se conoce que la prevalencia de NTS en estos alimentos es alta; en el Ecuador, puede llegar hasta el 55.5% y el serotipo comúnmente aislado es S. Infantis. También se ha identificado un aumento de la prevalencia de NTS multirresistentes a antimicrobianos, y nuevamente S.
