| Resumen : | El proyecto fin de carrera “Hotel Boutique Convento Inmaculada Concepción” propone un replanteamiento del actual convento en el que residen las religiosas para transformarlo en un hotel boutique que reúna las riquezas de la tradición y cultura quiteña. Fundamenta mi propuesta el que actualmente el lugar no esta siendo bien aprovechado pues la cantidad de religiosas ha disminuido significativamente y el costo de mantención es muy alto. Lo que se pretende es mantener la interesante envolvente arquitectónica característica del lugar, motivo por el cual fue declarada casa Patrimonial para generar una relación directa con el interior mediante un estilo moderno que no rompa con la envolvente sino que ayude a destacarla, aprovechando la bella vista que tiene el lugar pues se encuentra ubicado en un alto risco que permite la vista de todo el centro de Quito y del Panecillo. Se pretende generar espacios que expresen y reflejen las tradiciones quiteñas. Cada espacio reúne tradiciones e ìconos característicos de la ciudad como son Don Evaristo, el callejón quiteño, la plaza de toros, la leyenda de Cantuña, la bella Aurora y los Cucuruchos con el fin de que el usuario en su recorrido por el lugar sea capaz de conocer y vivir varias de las tradiciones quiteñas. |
| Descripción : | The final Project “Immaculate Conception Convento Boutique Hotel” proposes a reapproach of the current convent where actually the nuns reside to transform it in a boutique hotel that brings together the tradition and culture of Quito. Supports the goals of the project the fact that actually the place is not well exploited since the number of nuns has declined significantly and the maintenance cost is very high. The objective is to keep the interesting architectural envelope. Reason why the convent has been declared a heritage building to generate a direct relation with the interior using a modern style that helps to distinguish the envelope by incorporating the amazing view that the place has since it is located in the top of a high risk that allows the view of downtown and Panecillo. The porpouse is to generate different spaces that express and reflect Quito traditions. Each area integrates different icons and traditions of the city such as Don Evaristo, Callejón Quiteño, Plaza de Toros, leyenda de Cantuña ,la bella Aurora, and Los Cucuruchos with the porpouse that the user in his tour of the place can be able of knowing and experience many of the Quito traditions. |
