| dc.description | Now a day, the presence of foreigners is greater than previous years in Quito. For this reason it is important that the city start building and designing buildings that provide visitors a comfortable and affordable costs. The majority of hostels are adaptations of houses and small buildings that do not meet regulations necessary for the proper functioning. My proposal is to design a hostel for foreign students, which aims to break with traditional forms and create a meeting point for young people around the world where they can enjoy a variety of activities and facilities. As for its interior design, the hostel will focus on an urban concept and sustainability, where both your furniture and the finishes are cheap and recycled materials. So this way it contributes to environmental stewardship. preexisting ring and stands. The project will be based on Christopher Alexander's Pattern Language theory, for it will serve as a design strategy. This theoretical perspective suggests that the architecture and the city can be shaped by spatial and event patterns that establish a complex language which gives guidelines on how to organize the architectural elements and their relationships. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | Hoy en día, es mayor la presencia de extranjeros en Quito. Por esta razón es importante que la ciudad empiece a construir y diseñar edificaciones que proporcionen al visitante una estadía confortable y costos accesibles. La gran mayoría de los hostales son adecuaciones de casas y pequeños edificios que no cumplen con reglamentaciones necesarias para el buen funcionamiento del mismo. Mi propuesta será diseñar un hostal para jóvenes extranjeros, que tiene como propósito romper con las formas tradicionales y crear un punto de encuentro de jóvenes de todo el mundo donde puedan disfrutar de una gran variedad de actividades e instalaciones. En cuanto a su diseño interior, el hostal va a enfocarse a un concepto urbano y de sustentabilidad, en donde tanto su mobiliario como sus acabados serán materiales económicos y reciclados.
