| Resumen : | Este trabajo de investigación se enfoca en dos grandes ejes. El primero trata sobre los principios y conceptos de los medios de comunicación públicos y su consolidación y desarrollo en el Ecuador desde el inicio de la administración de Rafael Correa en 2007. Se mencionan los principios y visiones al respecto de los organismos internacionales y los textos oficiales de la Ley Orgánica de Comunicación y la Constitución de la República del Ecuador. El segundo eje es un estudio de caso sobre el tratamiento informativo de Diario El Telégrafo a la Iniciativa Yasuní ITT, basado en un monitoreo del periódico entre el 2009 y el 2014. El propósito de este estudio es determinar si existió o no un cambio en la línea editorial y tratamiento informativo del medio de comunicación, comparando el período anterior a agosto de 2013, fecha en la cual el gobierno de Ecuador decidió dar por terminada la Iniciativa Yasuní ITT, y después de esa fecha. Una parte consiste en la verificación y conteo de las fuentes oficialistas, no oficialistas que apoyaban la Iniciativa, y las no oficialistas que la criticaban. Otra variable es el número de artículos periodísticos, entrevistas y editoriales que hablaban sobre el tema en mención. |
| Descripción : | This research paper focuses on two main topics. The first is about the principles and concepts of public media and its consolidation and development in Ecuador since the beginning of the Rafael Correa administration in 2007. Principles and visions are cited according to international organizations and to the Organic Communication Law and the Constitution of the Republic of Ecuador. The second topic is a case study that discusses the informative treatment of Diario El Telégrafo towards the Yasuni ITT Initiative, based on a periodic monitoring between 2009 and 2014. The purpose of this study is to determine whether or not there were modifications in the editorial line and informative treatment of this newspaper, comparing the period before August 2013, when the government of Ecuador decided to terminate the Yasuni ITT Initiative, and the following year. One part consists of the verification and counting of governmental, non-governmental sources that supported the initiative, and non-governmental sources that criticized the Initiative. Another variable is the number of newspaper articles, interviews and editorials that speak on the subject in question. |
