| dc.description | The purpose of the following graduation project was to reflect the knowledge and expertise acquired during the career of Technology in Fashion Design of the San Francisco de Quito University. Ultimately, it aimed at the correct implementation of technical skills in every stage of creative process towards reaching a professional fashion collection. This collection -ECLECTICISM: REFORMIST DISORDER AND RENASCENT OBSCURANTISM- was inspired in photographs of the fashion photographer Kevin Mackintosh, and was one of the 24 collections presented by students of the third year of studies at the Carpe Diem Fashion Show. This show took place at the Convention Center of the Mall Paseo San Francisco place on June 6th 2013. The final collection was the result of a technical and creative process that began with the selection of the inspiration and trend that would frame the collection, and concluded with the preparation and presentation of the outfits of the collection in the fashion show. Carpe Diem did not only reflect the work of an entire semester, but resulted in the utilization of all the skills obtained during three years of career, becoming the culminating stage of the entire effort of the fashion design students. At the same time, this fashion show also became the first step into the real world of fashion design, which include the experience of dealing with suppliers, models, critics, press, etc. Finally and most importantly, it turned out into an experience where the student could face the rationale of a designer: the people - customers and audience. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | El presente proyecto de graduación tuvo como objetivo final el crear una colección de modas profesional que demuestre los conocimientos adquiridos durante la carrera de Tecnología en Diseño de Modas de la Universidad San Francisco de Quito. Mi colección ECLECTICISMO: DESORDEN RENOVADOR Y OSCURANTISMO RENACIENTE, inspirada en fotografías de fotógrafo de modas Kevin Mackintosh, fue una de las 24 colecciones presentadas por los estudiantes de tercer año de la carrera, en el Desfile de Modas Carpe Diem, que tuvo lugar el 6 de junio de 2013, en el centro de convenciones del Centro Comercial Paseo San Francisco.. La colección final fue resultado de un proceso técnico y creativo que inició con la selección de la inspiración y tendencia en la que se enmarcaría la colección, hasta llegar al proceso de confección y presentación de los atuendos de la colección en un desfile de modas. Carpe Diem no solo reflejó el trabajo de todo un semestre creando la colección, sino que sacó a relucir los conocimientos adquiridos y trabajo realizado durante los tres años de duración de la carrera significó, convirtiéndose así en la etapa culminante de todo el esfuerzo estudiantil, y a la vez, en paso inicial hacia el mundo real del diseño de modas, donde te enfrentas con proveedores, modelos, críticos, prensa, y principalmente, donde te presentas cara a cara con tu razón de ser como diseñador: la gente, tus clientes, tu público. | es_ES |
